چکیده
Abstract Background Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) has long been neglected due to limited therapeutic options. Within the past five years, transcatheter tricuspid valve edge-to-edge repair (T-TEER) become a valuable tool in treatment of TR besides diuretic medical therapy and surgery. Owing its novelty, data on long-term survival after T-TEER for relevant are sparse. Beyond that, there is uncertainty impact reduction outcomes successful T-TEER. Purpose This study sought investigate outcome symptomatic TR. We evaluated patients with Methods Consecutive who underwent isolated from 2016 until 2022 at high-volume university center were included study. Procedural success was defined as least one degree reduction. Long-term endpoint three-year all-cause mortality. Survival follow-up completed via phone calls themselves, next kin, local practitioners using German national population registry. Post-procedural assessed by interventionalist echocardiographer end procedure. Results A total 244 period present analysis (mean age 77.7±8.7 years; 50.8% female). Pulmonary Hemorrhage following Edge-to-Edge Mitral Valve Repair
Mitral valve repair with the MitraClip device has emerged as an effective treatment option for patients with severe mitral regurgitation and contraindications for surgical interventions. While the procedure is not known to cause pulmonary complications, we describe two cases of pulmonary hemorrhage following percutaneous mitral valve repair. The patients did well with supportive care and reinit...
متن کاملEndovascular Edge-to-Edge Mitral Valve Repair
Background—The edge-to-edge technique is an accepted method for the surgical repair of a regurgitant mitral valve. This study reports the initial use of an endovascular technology that enables a double-orifice edge-to-edge mitral valve repair without cardiopulmonary bypass in an animal model. Methods and Results—Adult pigs (n 14) were anesthetized, and left thoracotomy was performed for epicard...
متن کاملEdge-to-edge repair of tricuspid valve in a corrected transposition of the great vessels.
We describe the case of a 27-year-old Caucasian woman with corrected transposition of the great vessels, who presented with cardiac failure. She had severe regurgitation of the systemic tricuspid valve with a huge annulus that was not suitable for annuloplasty. She underwent a successful repair using the Alfieri edge-to-edge technique and was asymptomatic 15 months after surgery. Such a repair ...

متن کاملThe edge-to-edge technique for mitral valve repair
The edge-to-edge technique was introduced in the surgical armamentarium of mitral valve repair in 1991 and has progressively been used to restore mitral competence in the setting of degenerative, post-endocarditis and functional mitral regurgitation. Appropriate indications and awareness of the important technical aspects of the procedure are prerequisites for a good outcome. The free edges of ...
